FAQ
still have
questions?
what kind of sessions do you offer?
Every session is tailored to you.
Before we train, we’ll discuss your goals and agree on a clear plan so you know exactly what we’re working towards. If you don’t have a specific request, I’ll design a structured session based on your goals and current level.
Sessions can include:
Personalised strength or hypertrophy training
Fat loss–focused workouts
Technique coaching and exercise breakdown
Guidance on equipment use
Help following an existing programme
Movement assessment and corrections
Throughout the session, I’ll explain what we’re doing, why it matters, and how it helps you progress.
is the gym quiet?
Yes. The gym is a small, private training space located away from the main road, so it’s calm and focused.
It’s divided into four training pods, meaning there are never more than eight people training at once — and most of the time, there are far fewer. Often, it’s just us.
This creates a relaxed environment where you can train without crowds, waiting for equipment, or feeling overwhelmed.
what equipment does the gym have?
The gym is fully equipped for strength training, conditioning and functional fitness.
🏋️ Strength Equipment
Full range of dumbbells (3kg–30kg)
Kettlebells (6kg–24kg)
Three fully equipped squat racks with benches
15kg and 20kg Olympic bars
Full plate sets (including micro plates for progressive overload)
Hip thrust bench/pad
Body pump bar
💪 Conditioning & Functional Training
Wall balls (3kg–10kg)
D-balls (5kg–25kg)
Sandbags (10kg & 20kg)
TRX suspension trainers
Plyometric boxes
Battle ropes
Resistance bands
🚴 Cardio Equipment
2 x Concept2 SkiErgs
1 x Concept2 RowErg
3 x Rogue Echo Bikes
Whether your goal is strength, fat loss, muscle building or conditioning, the space has everything needed for structured, progressive training.
what are the gym rules?
Q: What are the gym rules?
To keep the space safe, clean and enjoyable for everyone, we ask that the following rules are respected:
⏰ Arrive & Finish on Time
Sessions start and finish at the scheduled time so the space is ready for the next trainer and client.
🧼 Clean As You Go
All equipment must be wiped down after use and returned to its correct place (dumbbells, plates, kettlebells, etc.).
🏋️ Equipment Care
Please use equipment responsibly. If anything appears damaged or unsafe, let me know immediately.
🚫 Session Use Only
The studio can only be used during your booked session time — no early access or post-session training.
🔒 Respect the Space
The gym is a shared private studio. We aim to leave it exactly as we found it so every client has the same high-quality experience.
❌ Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice. Late cancellations may incur a charge.
is there parking available?
Yes, when attending your session, you can park for free in any of the spaces out the front of Mammoth Self Storage/Academy Windows. I will be standing just in or outside the gated area waiting to bring you through.
is the gym close to a train station?
Yes — the gym (24 Richfield Ave, Reading RG1 8EQ) is conveniently located near Reading Station.
🚲 Around 4 minutes by bike
🚌 Approximately 10 minutes by bus
🚶 About a 20-minute walk
It’s easily accessible for clients travelling from Reading and surrounding areas.
how do I access the gym when i arrive?
The studio is located within a private unit, so I’ll meet you at the gate at your booked session time and personally escort you in.
This keeps access simple and ensures the space remains private and secure.
how do i book a session?
All bookings are made through PT Hub.
Create a free account using the “Consult/Explore” option, or purchase a session/credit package if you’re ready to get started.
Once registered, you can view my live availability via the calendar.
Choose a time that suits you and book using your session credits.
Bookings on PT Hub are credit-based, so you’ll need enough credits available for the session you’d like to schedule.
After booking, I’ll follow up via the PT Hub chat to confirm details and discuss your session.
If you have any issues, you can contact me via the PT Hub chat, or via email at workoutways@gmail.com.
Do i need to book in advance?
Yes — sessions must be booked at least 5 days in advance.
This allows me to plan your training properly and manage studio availability.
Do you offer early morning or late evening sessions?
Yes. I offer flexible training hours, including late evening and early-morning sessions.
On selected days, availability extends as late as 4am, providing options for shift workers, night owls, or those with unconventional schedules.
You can view all available time slots via the PT Hub calendar.
Can i reschedule or cancel a booking?
Yes, you’re welcome to reschedule or cancel your session.
Please note that cancellations made within 48 hours of your booked time may not be eligible for a refund.
is it a public gym?
No — the Reading studio is a private training space used by personal trainers and other practitioners to work with their clients.
This means it’s quieter, more focused, and limited to booked sessions only.
do i need gym experience?
Not at all. Beginners are very welcome.
Before we start, we’ll discuss your goals and experience and plan the session together. During training, I can guide you through each exercise if needed and explain everything clearly so you feel confident throughout.
how much does it cost?
Q: How much does it cost?
A 1-hour session costs 40 credits (£40).
Sessions are booked through PT Hub using credits (1 credit = £1). You can purchase credits individually or in bundles, with discounted rates available for larger packages.
Some packages include pre-allocated credits, which you can use to book your sessions directly through the calendar.
what should I bring?
Just bring a bottle of water.
All equipment is provided, so you won’t need to bring anything else unless advised.
do you offer consultations?
Yes. I offer a free consultation so we can discuss your goals, training experience and how I can best support you.
To book one, create a free account on PT Hub using the “Consult/Explore” package, then message me through the platform to arrange a time.
what happens in the first session?
Your first session is tailored to your goals.
We’ll start with introductions, go over the plan for the session, and I’ll show you around the space. You can choose your music on the sound system if we’re the first in the space. From there, we’ll begin the agreed training plan.
You’re always welcome to ask questions or adjust the session if needed.
do you offer online video-training?
Yes, I provide online video coaching sessions.
If you’re unable to attend in person, simply message me via PT Hub and we’ll arrange a time that suits you. Sessions can be structured just like in-person training, with clear guidance and support throughout.
is the gym suitable for women or vulnerable populations?
Yes — the studio is a secure, private training space with controlled access.
It’s located off the main road in a quiet area, and there are other professional trainers working on-site throughout the day.
If you have any specific concerns or preferences around comfort or safety, I’m always happy to discuss them and make arrangements so you feel completely at ease during your sessions.
how long are the sessions?
Sessions are typically 1 hour long.
However, depending on your goals and availability, you can book extended sessions — anywhere from 1 to 10 hours if required.
Can I play music?
Yes — the gym has its own sound system, and you’re welcome to use it.
If more than one trainer is in the studio at the same time, priority goes to the person who booked the space first — so booking early has its perks.
Do I have to pay to get in or a membership?
No. The studio does not require a membership.
Your session booking includes full access to the space for the duration of your training, with no hidden fees or extra charges.
